More Amazing Taos Artists

Jennifer Sihvonen

Working primarily in Sterling Silver with inlaid or set stones, Jennifer Sihvonen uses chasing techniques and often floral motifs. Mastering stone cutting and lapidary work has allowed her more complete freedom of design. Her jewelry designs evolve naturally with a new idea or possibility revealing itself along the way.

Melissa M. Fellner

My drawings and paintings from Taos represent the spirituality and aura of this beautiful and ancient landscape. Taos is surrounded by 12,000-foot mountains, forests, and wide mesa landscapes that are rifted by the Río Grande Gorge. Through color, line, shape, and aura I try to find the personality of this wonderful natural environment. The microcosm of a mountain flower or a lone tree, to the macrocosm of the mountain forest, to the endless sky the displays the Milky Way, on nights the moon isn't too bright. As a voyeur of this landscape and it's nature, I find peace and serenity from it's past and present, and feel hope for our future. —Melissa M. Fellner
